The Torquis Theatre is one of the iconic venues of Filottrano’s cultural life. Opened in the early 2000s as a cinema, it has grown and evolved into a multifunctional space, hosting cinema, theatre, music, and community initiatives. The first film screened was Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, marking a beginning dedicated to a wide audience, but over time Torquis has also become home to auteur film festivals, theatrical performances, and local events.

Managed with passion by the Filottrano Pro Loco, Torquis has faced challenging times—such as the pandemic crisis—but has managed to endure thanks to the support of the local community, sponsors, and public funds, including those from the PNRR, which are helping to guide it toward a more sustainable and efficient future.

Today, the Torquis Theatre is a reference point for all generations: welcoming, accessible, and full of diverse offerings. A place where culture is not only entertainment, but also sharing, participation, and identity.
